Burrwing

Burrwings are considered a pest across Mynros, burrowing under the bark of trees and slowly releasing toxins that kill off entire branches while they feast on the wood pulp. These branches will weaken and eventually snap from the trees, causing hazardous conditions where these parasitic creatures gather. Given their spiny shells and the toxins found on them, Mynrosians handling an infestation will wear heavy gloves to avoid injury while handling these creatures. The collected burrwings from an infestation either become exotic pets, carefully kept for display or are sold to gourmet chefs where they make for a unique and delicious meal for the foodies of Mynros.
